From there, depending on destinations, they dressed back in their civilian clothes or basic uniforms, depending on where they were headed next. Many bases in the U.S., some as far away as Korea. God bless each and every one of them. |

Wet runway takeoff from Nagoya, Japan, headed for Detroit, Michigan, USA Posted by: hilldenny
Video duration: 160 seconds It was kinda fun watching what the thrust from the engines was doing to the water on the runway as Delta flight 630 took off from Nagayo on June 20, 2011. When you have a flight of 11 hours and 30 minutes ahead of you, you look for anything entertaining. Great flight. Thanks Delta and crew. |

Delta flight 630 landing on a rainy morning in Nagoya, Japan, June 20, 2011 Posted by: hilldenny
Video duration: 129 seconds The rain had stopped in Manila when we took off, but it was waiting for us in Nagoya. It was pretty bumpy on approach but the landing was very smooth. And after an hour and 45 minutes in Nagoya, it was time for the flight (same 747) to DTW (Detroit). |

Delta 747 takeoff from Manila headed for Nagoya, June 20, 2011 Posted by: hilldenny
Video duration: 212 seconds The rain had finally stopped at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport Monday morning and it was a 6:35 takeoff for Nagoya, Japan. I love 747s. The runway was still wet, but that just made the takeoff more fun and provided a little more detail for the video. And the Delta staff was wonderful, both between Manila and Nagoya and Nagoya and Detroit. |

The rain begins as the school day ends in Maligaya, Philippines. Part one. Posted by: hilldenny
Video duration: 409 seconds No matter where they are from, rain does not bother kids. And that is a good thing during the rainy season here in the Philippines. Today, just as school let out, the skies opened up and it poured rain. It's fun to watch. |

The storm begins just as the school day ends in Maligaya, San Miguel, Philippines Posted by: hilldenny
Video duration: 313 seconds (Note the Plymouth Baracuda that drives past). (Also, note the kid on the bicycle who nearly takes a spill). It's the rainy season here and on this day we had an afternoon thunderstorm just as school ended. Lots of umbrellas and plastic covered tricycles appeared. But the kids here, just like the adults, are accustomed to a lot of rain. So it was just an average walk (or ride) in the rain. |

The wild momma cat and its very people shy kitten. Maligaya, Tarlac, Philippines Posted by: hilldenny
Video duration: 309 seconds Here again are the two wild cats that live in the rain gutter on the side of the house. As you can see, I tried to approach the kitten while the female was downstairs, but he was having none of it. The mom is extremely protective of the baby so I have to be very, very careful. |
